Pat Walsh Executive Director
Pat Walsh is a Co-Founder & Executive Director of DunPort Capital Management. Before establishing DunPort, Pat was Head of Irish Investments at BlueBay, where he was responsible for the establishment and subsequent deployment of the BlueBay Ireland Corporate Credit fund. Prior to joining BlueBay, Pat was a Director and Head of Restructuring at IBRC in Dublin. This role involved the development and execution of resolution and recovery strategies for a €4bn portfolio of corporate and business banking loans. Prior to the nationalization of IBRC in 2009, Pat was responsible for the origination and execution of equity, mezzanine and senior secured leverage finance loans across a wide range of sectors.
Before that, Pat spent two years setting up and developing a Corporate Finance Advisory business for Andersen in Dublin where he advised a number of mid-market clients in relation to debt and equity fundraising and for the eight years before that he was with Ulster Bank, Dublin, managing a portfolio of corporate clients.
Pat holds a BA from the University of Limerick.
Ross Morrow Executive Director
Ross Morrow is a Co-Founder & Executive Director of DunPort Capital Management. Prior to establishing DunPort, Ross was a Senior Analyst at BlueBay, where he was responsible for the origination, execution and management of debt investments in Irish SMEs. Ross also worked in the debt advisory and restructuring team at Lazard, where he advised European middle market and high yield borrowers. Prior to Lazard he worked for Hawkpoint’s debt advisory & restructuring practice, Acision as Group Treasurer and Anglo Irish Bank as a leveraged finance banker focused on the UK and Ireland.
He has a BComm degree in Finance from University College Dublin, an MSc in International Business from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School in Ireland, is a CFA charter holder and has an MBA from Cass Business School in London.
Aidan Lynch Investment Analyst
Aidan is an Investment Analyst at DunPort Capital Management, having previously joined BlueBay as an Analyst in November 2016. Prior to BlueBay, Aidan worked on the Global Leveraged Finance team at Bank of Ireland in both Frankfurt and Dublin. His role involved the origination and management of leveraged loans within the European private equity market. Before joining Bank of Ireland, Aidan worked for Third Bridge in London and New York, a provider of primary research to investment firms.
Aidan holds an MSc. Finance from Trinity College Dublin and a B.A International from University College Dublin
David Gilbane Investment Analyst
David is an Investment Analyst at DunPort Capital Management, having previously joined BlueBay as an Analyst in November 2016. Prior to BlueBay, David spent 2 years in Bank of Ireland where he worked on the Global Leveraged Finance team in Dublin. This role involved the management of a portfolio of mid-market European & US leveraged transactions. David had other roles during his time there which included rotations in Global Markets on the Corporate & Institutional Sales desk and on the Wholesale Funding team.
David is a CFA charterholder and graduated with a BSc from University College Dublin in 2014
Ross Pender Investment Analyst
Ross is an Investment Analyst at DunPort Capital Management, having previously joined BlueBay as an Analyst in Februay 2016. Prior to BlueBay, Ross worked at private equity company, Emerald Investment Partners on a variety of sectors but mainly in their Nursing Home investment, Carechoice.
Ross is currently sitting his CFA exams and is a June 2019 Level 3 candidate. He graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a BA in Business and Economics and also holds an MSc in Management Consultancy from the Smurfit School of Business, University College Dublin
Philip Considine Investment Manager
Philip is an Investment Manager at DunPort Capital Management. Prior to joining DunPort, Philip spent 4 years in Bank of Ireland where he worked on the Global Leveraged Finance and Corporate Banking teams. Philip most recently worked as a Manager on the Origination & Intermediaries team, where he was responsible for the origination and execution of leveraged transactions in the Irish mid-corporate market. Before joining Bank of Ireland, Philip worked with Certus as a Credit Analyst and Deloitte in Dublin, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Philip holds a BA from University College Dublin, a Higher Diploma in Business Studies from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Niall Gallagher Investment Manager
Niall is an Investment Manager at DunPort Capital Management. Prior to joining DunPort, Niall was an Associate Director on the KPMG Transaction Services team where he carried out due diligence assignments and advised clients in relation to both buy side and sell side M&A transactions. Prior to joining KPMG Niall gained significant restructuring experience while working with specialist corporate recovery and restructuring firm Friel Stafford. Niall is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and holds a B.Sc. degree in Engineering with Management from Trinity College Dublin.
